Applications
Hot air drying (ultra-filtered or otherwise) is a method of drying non-thermolabile chemical and natural products for preparation or conservation purposes. The air which flows inside the chamber has been previously filtered using a HEPA filter to avoid product contamination. The process is completed statically, with the product inside trays. For this reason mechanical fatigue does not occur and the granulometric measurement, porosity and volume of the products are not changed.
The residence time of the product is completely defined and high quality homogenous products result. These pieces of equipment enable a large variety of products to be dried for the fine chemical, chemical-pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food and agriculture industries, such as:
-
Medicinal plant extracts, food additives, spices and condiments, etc.
-
Dried products which require a low final water content.
-
Products which may have a tendency to form lumps, appear dough-like or thick and have a high initial water content.
