Vacuum distillation is one of the most established methods for the separation of products in the liquid phase.

Telstar utilizes its experience in low pressure processes, and in cooperation with UIC GmbH (Germany) and Gecil (France), offers various distillation solutions to work in different vacuum ranges and applications.

UIC is dedicated to high vacuum distillation, which allows separation of thermosensitive substances at low temperatures, since working under vacuum enables reduction of the boiling temperature in some cases by as much as 100 ºC. Furthermore, the degradation of the sensitive products is avoided by the very short residence time in the distiller.

Gecil produces ASTM automatic laboratory destillation equipment for the petroleum and petrochemical industry. These distillers can work over different vacuum ranges, medium to rough vacuum, depending on the distillation sequences defined for the product to be distilled.
