2 Zone Laminar Flow System

Telstar can deliver this 2Z laminar flow system in several sizes. The size of the laminar flow system depends on the requirements of the end-user.

The 2 Zone Laminar Flow systems can be equipped with HEPA filter housings or with HEPA plate filters. In case of HEPA filter housings the Laminar flow system can be delivered with Illumination inside the canopy.

Air supplied to this 2 Zone Laminar flow system is air from outside, made up by means of filtering, cooling, heating and humidifying to the required conditions.

Operational Experience has shown, also confirmed by CFD's, that in some cases turbulences arise in the patient area, if the size of the Laminar flow system is bigger then 2.800 x 2.800 mm. In the 2 Zone Laminar flow system the canopy is divided into two different zones. The patient area is protected by Z1 and the instrument area by Z2. In the instrument area the air temperature is 1-2K higher than in the patient area. With this system there is always a temperature difference generated by purpose between the Z1 and Z2 zone.
